Wednesday Short Run

15 10 2009

Really tried to put some effort in today, and was rewarded with a new short course PB of 32m 26s, a whopping 31s off the old best time.

Weather was a bit cooler, not much wind, ground was soft in places but not muddy. Pretty much ideal conditions. Having compared the data, I can see that I gained all the time coming up the hill on the way back. That’s good news, means I’m getting stronger. Also noticed that even though I felt that I was really trying, my average heart rate was a beat slower than on the old best run.

As well as Ilminster 10k on 1st Nov, I’ve now also entered Boscombe 10k on 22nd. That will be my last race for a while I expect, certainly until after Xmas which is only ten weeks away. Yikes!
